HOLIDAY MUSIC SCHEDULE


A McGuckin tradition! Enjoy peaceful renditions of classic holiday songs while you shop in-store this season! Performed live on the harp by Nancy Brace, the violin by Tracy LaGuardia, and the cello by Brett Wallace.


We're excited to welcome back this talented group of musicians for trio and solo performances again this year. Make sure to visit the center of the store to watch for a moment and take in their wonderful music as you browse our aisles. The schedule is subject to change as required.

TREE SELECTION GUIDE



BALSAM FIR

This fluffy, cone-shaped tree holds decoration well and comes with soft, dark green needles 3/4” to 1-1/2” long.


Scent: Traditional; long-lasting aroma
Needle retention: Good



GRAND FIR

This typically symmetrical tree has a rounded crown and dark green, glossy needles 1” to 1-1/2” long.


Scent: Strong fragrance
Needle retention: Good



DOUGLAS FIR

Usually grown in Michigan, this hardy variety produces soft, dark green or blue-green needles 1” to 1-1/2” long, which radiate in all directions from the branch.


Scent: Traditional; sweet or citrus aroma when crushed

Needle retention: Good



FRASER FIR

This North Carolina fir is considered the king of Christmas trees. The heavy branch pattern can handle loads of decorations, with soft, dark blue-green needles about 1” long.


Scent: Mild fragrance

Needle retention: Excellent



NORDMANN FIR

This long-lasting native of Europe has thick, symmetrically arranged branches and offers an appearance unique from other
Christmas tree varieties.


Scent: Minimal fragrance
Needle retention: Excellent



NOBLE FIR

Grown in the Pacific Northwest, this tree features needles 1-1/2” to 2” long on strong branches.


Scent: Faint aroma
Needle retention: Good
